About the Big Agnes Big House 4 Tent
A cult classic from Big Agnes, the Big House 4 tent offers more space and versatility than ever to deliver a full-featured car camping shelter at a fantastic price.
Built for 3-season road trips and destination camping, the Big House features high-volume pole architecture with a steep wall design to give occupants more headroom and living space. Now bigger than ever, the updated design offers more internal room with a standing height of 178cm allowing you to change and move freely inside.
Shelter Mode lets you pitch the fly independently of the canopy to create a large, open awning that’s perfect for sunshade or rain protection on warmer days. Shelter Mode requires only the fly, poles and included webbing harness. It can also be set up using the footprint (sold separately) in place of the webbing harness.
The Big House features a breathable mesh inner with two large entrances for hassle-free access. Doors feature windows with two closure options: mesh only for added ventilation or a zip-up polyester layer for complete closure in cooler conditions.
The freestanding design features colour-coded webbing and buckles for ease of pitching while a clip and sleeve system attaches the pole frame to the canopy. Velcro tabs further secure the flysheet to the lightweight DAC aluminium poles for added wind stability.
Seams are taped with waterproof, solvent-free polyurethane while the polyester flysheet and floor deliver 1500mm waterproof PU coating.
A great basecamp tent for multi-day camping breaks, festival hangouts or even for picnics and day trips when stripped down to Shelter Mode. An additional backpack-style carry bag makes for a travel-friendly design when hiking from car to campsite.
With its classic design, the Big House 4 is a roomy 4-person tent with a pocket-friendly price tag. A great tent for group outdoor trips – all underpinned by Big Agnes’ tried and tested construction.
For even greater basecamp luxury, the Big House is supported by the extra-large, pole-supported Accessory Vestibule – perfect for car camping trips when you need more space for camp chairs, bikes, dogs and all the extras. Please note, Accessory Vestibule (as seen in additional images) is sold separately.
